An Important Message...
As we look to a strong and fun finish to our 2023-2024 season BMHA would like to share this important message.

Dear Members, As we progress through the hockey season and into the Playoffs, I wanted to take a moment to address all of you regarding an important initiative we've recently introduced within our association. You may have noticed a new announcement preceding each game, emphasizing the values of integrity and sportsmanship. I wanted to provide some context behind this decision and why we as an Executive believe it's crucial for our players, coaches, and families. In the spirit of fostering a positive and respectful environment, it's imperative that we prioritize integrity and sportsmanship both on and off the ice. Hockey is a passionate sport, and emotions can run high, especially during competitive games. However, it's during these moments that we must remain composed and uphold the principles of fair play and respect for all participants, including referees and the opposing teams. It's important for us as Parents and Coaches, to remember that these values are just as important during practices, off-ice sessions, and in the dressing room, pre and post game. Remember, our children are watching us, and paying attention to us more than we realize. We must set a good example if we expect them to uphold and maintain the same values. This reminder isn't meant to imply any specific shortcomings on behalf of our association's members; rather, it is meant to serve as a proactive measure to reinforce the values we hold dear. By instilling these principles early on, we aim to cultivate a culture of mutual respect and sportsmanship that will benefit our players as they continue their hockey journeys.I want to take this opportunity to thank you, for your ongoing support and commitment to promoting a positive hockey experience for all involved. Together, we can ensure that our association remains an example of sportsmanship and integrity within our hockey community. Thank you again for your attention to this matter, and let's continue to lead by example both on and off the ice. Warm regards, Brock Minor Hockey Association Executive
